Lydia Lea Real (Executive Director/Co-Founder) – With over 15 years of experience in the Performing Arts, Lydia has worked as an actor, director, producer, stage manager, and arts administrator. Prior to her move to Florida, Lydia was the Interim Associate Director of Education for La Jolla Playhouse. In addition, she has worked as a teaching artist with Orlando Rep, Arts for Learning, San Diego Writers Ink, Olney Theatre Company, and the National Players. She is the Co-Founder of The Poolhouse Project theatre company, Board Member for Oracle Performing Arts, and original company member of The Red Wolves Ensemble.
Tony Murvin (Artistic Director/Co-Founder) – A graduate of Albertus Magnus College, Tony has over 20 years of experience as an actor, director, and teaching artist, receiving most of his training under Emily Mattina, Artistic Director and CEO of Shakesperience Productions (www.shakesperience.org) located in Waterbury, CT. Some of his acting and directing credits are: Couples, Trafficked, Conversations in Bed, Dreamgirls, Fences, The Old Settler, Second Samuel, The Importance of Being Earnest, Othello, Macbeth, and The Taming of the Shrew.
Cheyenne Simpson (Business & Production Manager) - An alumni of Harrison School of the Arts, Polk State College and the University of Central Florida, Chey’s passion for theater started by accident in secondary school. They have since garnered a decade of experience with acting, technical theatre, and film. Chey’s work in community and professional theatre cemented their passion for the Arts and brought them full circle to share their knowledge as a secondary Theater Teacher in Polk County.
Jennifer Walker (Marketing and Public Relations) - With a BA in Drama from University of California, Irvine, Jennifer has performed with the San Diego Civic Light Opera, Moonlight Stage Productions, San Diego Musical Theatre, the Welk Resorts Theatre, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World San Diego, and the Legoland Resort in California, as well as TheatreWorks Florida and Theater Winter Haven in Florida. Over the past 23 years, she has also gained marketing, managing, directing, costuming, and technical theatre experience.
Thru→Line was founded in 2020 by Lydia Leah Real, Tony Murvin, Gretchen Suárez-Peña, Omar Negrón, and Lisa Negrón to elevate marginalized voices and enlighten the minds of our audience.
